DALLAS - Luck didn't seem to fare well for those who attended the state fair this week. Aside from the loss of "Big Tex," two dozen people were stranded last night on one the the tallest rides there. People were left hanging on the Stratosphere. The 200 foot tall tower that turns and swings riders out over the fair lost power shortly after 9 pm leaving riders in the air for more than two hours. Workers had to manually lower people to the ground and to safety. No one was hurt.
