Resendez Sentenced to 8 Years

CORPUS CHRISTI - Devry Resendez has been sentenced to 8-years in prison for causing a crash that claimed the life on an elderly woman last year.

Resendez was under the influence and speeding when she rear-ended a car on S.P.I.D. 70-year-old Carmen Cantu was killed while her niece suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Resendez was convicted of intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault, and two counts of failure to stop and render aid.
