CORPUS CHRISTI - According to several media outlets, Hooks Owner and C.E.O. Reid Ryan will be the named the president of the Houston Astros in a press conference on Friday.
The position with the Astros became available when when George Postolos announced he was stepping down on Monday.
Reid Ryan, 41, is the president and C.E.O. of Ryan-Sanders Baseball, and the founder of and C.E.O. of both the Corpus Christi Hooks and the Round Rock Express.
The Hooks have no comment on the matter until the deal with Reid Ryan and the Astros is made official.
Reid's father Nolan Ryan played for the Astros in nine of his 27 years in the MLB, and is currently the president and C.E.O. of the Texas Rangers.
