Red Light Runner Hits Truck at Laredo and Staples

Red Light Runner Causes Crash at Laredo and Staples - KZTV

CORPUS CHRISTI - A car accident at the corner of Laredo and Staples sent one person to the hospital this morning.

A woman driving a silver Toyota Camry was headed down Staples Street when police say she tried to beat a red light. Instead, she hit the rear end of pickup driving down Laredo.

The truck spun around before hitting a utility pole and a building. The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out for a bump on her head.

The other driver was cited for causing the crash and running the red light.
