CORPUS CHRISTI - The murder on 15th and Morgan Sunday night is bringing up another murder that was never solved.

"We have not forgotten about him. He's still very much in our minds," said Cold Case Detective Richard Garcia.

Police have been trying to figure out who is responsible for Miguel Bayardo's death for about four years now. Bayardo was attacked a car wash near 15th and Morgan. He was hospitalized for 2 weeks.

For those two weeks family reported him missing and had no idea where he was or what happened to him. They finally found him when one of his nurses recognized him from a news report. Bayardo died shortly after.

Family told us back in '09 that they didn't understand who would want to hurt him.

"We just hope that they will find the person that did this and, I guess all you can do is pray for them to because they're going to have to face up there you know, judgement day," said Bayardo's Godson Alejandro Ordunez.

Police are still trying to do just that. Detective Garcia says even though it's been years since Bayardo's death they are still working the case, just not as often family may like.

"Do I look at this case every day? The answer is no, I have other cases. But it is there at my desk with the rest of the cold cases we actually look at," said Garcia.

Police ask if you know anything about Bayardo's death to call them. "Weather they think I got it or don't, I welcome any kind of new information. We will evaluate it and go from there," said Garcia.

They say any information can help them find his killer, and his family find closure. If you know anything about Bayardo's death call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.
