CORPUS CHRISTI - Friday's rainy weather disrupted the usual office routine at the Salvation Army offices over on Josephine Street.
They had to do their work while covered in plastic. There's been leaking issues in the past, but one of the case workers, Valentin Garcia says it's never gotten this bad.
Although the Salvation Army gets grants, the problem hasn't been fixed.
"Just because we have money doesn't mean we can do whatever we want to it. We get specifics with it. Certain grants are allocated for specific assistance and we have to use that money just for that," said Garcia.
Even if there was money, Garcia says they allocate the funds for people in need.
"I get a greater satisfaction knowing that the money that we have is helping someone that's really in more need rather than being in my office with all the nice comforts," said Garcia.
Garcia says plans are in the works to replace the building's roof early next year.

This is bad journalism. The reporter needs to adapt a higher command of the English language, in addition to enhanced reporting skills. Tell us what happened and its future consequences. Moreover, don't just interview one person; add many perspectives.
