CORPUS CHRISTI - Members of our city Transportation Advisory Committee say a westside railroad crossing isn't safe.
The committee wants the city to take action, and get the railroad company in question to take a look at it.
The crossing is at Agnes and Baldwin.
"Whoever did this crossing really needs to come back and do it properly," says Committee Member Tom Watson.
Watson is concerned about the raised concrete around the tracks. He feels it should be smoother like other crossings around the city.
"We're going to have, unfortunate, either city employee or citizen get into an accident because their car could not control this type of grade crossing," Watson says.
Watson wants city engineers to contact whichever railroad company did the work, and have them take a look at it.
"You should have your asphalt or whatever medium you want come up, gradually come up, so you can come across the tracks and not be unsafe," Watson says.
The city tells us that Texas Mexican Railway Company is responsible for that crossing.
The city says they'll reach out to them and ask the company to take a look at that crossing.
