CORPUS CHRISTI - A lot of kids got a new ride for the holidays thanks to the efforts of Malkan Broadcasting and Bay Area Bicycles.

Tom Naegli, owner of Bay Area Bicycles, says thanks to the efforts of KBAY, Hot Z95 and local sponsors they were able to help out 170 children.

The children are chosen based on the recommendations of Child Protective Services, plus nominations made by the radio stations' listeners.

All are between the ages of 2-10 years-old. They were fitted with their own helmets and given a chance to take a spin in the parking lot on their new bikes.
