CORPUS CHRISTI - Animal Control officers worked together this morning to help out a pup who had a broken PVC connection over his neck. A neighbor called to let us know about the problem, so we showed up and decided it was best to contact Animal Control.
The neighbor thinks someone placed the PVC connection on the pup as some kind of cruel joke maybe 5 days ago. But we can't be sure he didn't get into the PVC himself. At one time the PVC on the pup's neck was a complete piece, but today it was broken and jagged.
Neighbors have kept him fed and tried to catch him with little luck. That is until today. First, officers had to catch his momma to make sure she wouldn't react as they tried to catch her son.
The pup wasn't very pleased about having a rope snare around his leg during the process, even trying to bite an officer just trying to help out
Eventually they were able to calm him down enough to remove the PVC.
Animal control went ahead and seized the momma and all four pups roaming free around the home at Vanderbilt and Pierce.
Hopefully they'll be able to find a good home or the owners.
