Premont Officer Charged with DWI

PREMONT - The chief of police in Premont will wait for the results of an investigation before deciding the future employment status of officer Luis David Valadez.

Valadez was arrested early Saturday by a DPS trooper for driving while intoxicated. He was pulled over on Highway 281 in Alice.

For now, the chief of police suspended Valadez for 3 days without pay.
