Around 400 people were without power earlier this afternoon in the area of I-37 and Violet.

According to an AEP spokeswoman, an equipment failure caused the outage, but she didn't have specifics on it.

At this time 206 people are still without power.

But AEP crews are working on the problem and power should be fully restored to everyone around 4:00 or 4:30 this afternoon.
