It was an emotional day for two heros, who served in the US Army. The last time Manuel Granado and Boyd Engle saw each other, was October 1944, just before they were taken prisoner by the German Army.
After 70 years, Boyd shared the story of that fateful day their tank was bombed, and they ran from the German Army. The family and friends cried happy tears, as the two friends spoke for the first time in all these years. Both men were living with the memories of war, and the horrible memories of the 12 months they spent as prisoners in POW camps in Germany after they were seperated.
Today that seperation was finally over. Boyd and his family flew here yesterday, from West Virginia to finally meet the man their father could not forget.
