CORPUS CHRISTI - A man with possible mental issues tied up traffic in both directions on the Harbor Bridge for more than an hour as police tried to convince him to step away from the railing.
Officers were within reach of the man along the pedestrian walkway on the southbound side of the bridge, but did not want to try and grab him out of concern someone might be injured, or worse.
The man eventually decided to surrender peacefully. He was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial for a mental evaluation.
