CORPUS CHRISTI - It looks like the Port of Corpus Christi will be cleaning up the homeless camp underneath I-37 at the access road near Krill Street.
We found the campsite yesterday, the tents were still there today.
After we did some checking, we found the land and railroad tracks are owned by the Port of Corpus Christi.
"He let me know that they were getting complaints, primarily from the media, about trash and some encampments that may be down along that area," Tom Mylett, Interim Port PD Chief shares.
The port told us they plan on getting their own environmental crews to clean up the area. They are also planning to have officers patrol the area; to prevent the homeless camp from popping up again.
