Popular Boy Scout Leader Killed In Head-On Collision

DRISCOLL -- A local man and woman from Austin were killed in a head on collision Saturday night.

The accident happened about a quarter mile from Driscoll on FM 665 last night at 8:53.

The local man killed in the crash has been identified as 49-year-old John Beauregard, a well known boy scout leader in the Corpus Christi community.

The other driver was identified as 28-year-old Gina Reynolds.

Officials say Reynolds was driving westbound on FM 665, veered off the road and crashed into Beauregard's Chevy Tahoe.

He was travelling east bound on 665.

Both Reynolds and Beauregard were wearing their seat belts, but troopers say they were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
