CORPUS CHRISTI - Dozens of local law enforcement officers and federal agents descended upon a Flour Bluff home this morning in search of weapons and possible bomb making materials.
Police said the raid on the home at 953 Brambling Circle had been planned since yesterday afternoon.
Corpus Christi Police, the bomb squad and agents from the ATF and FBI served what was deemed a "high-risk" search warrant after a man living at the home complained that his roommate threatened to shoot him.
Officers arrested 49-year-old David Michael McDonald for aggravated assault.
They also seized several guns from the home, though they would not elaborate on how many or what kind. A senior SWAT member could not comment on whether the weapons are legal.
Officers said that there were no immediate signs of bombs or bomb making materials in the home, but explained that the bomb squad would remain at the scene to continue a search.
Neighbors in the area explained they weren't surprised to see the police activity; they described McDonald as a "recluse" and "strange," though no one admitted to knowing him well.
Officers said McDonald could face additional charges once the investigation was complete.
