Police: Shoplifting Suspect Tried to Flush Tags

CORPUS CHRISTI - A loss prevention officer at the Walmart in Flour Bluff called police after noticing a man cutting the tags off clothes in the bathroom.

According to police, Deonta Jones, 19, had removed his clothes and shoes so he could change into an all-new outfit that he did not pay for early this morning.

Jones allegedly tried to use the toilet to get rid of the tags cut from the clothes. Right after that, the employee noticed what he was up to.

Jones is charged with theft.
