CORPUS CHRISTI - A hearing for the suspect in the shooting of two Corpus Christi police officers was rescheduled because his attorney never showed up today.
Travis Magill just got out of the hospital last week for a gunshot wound to the chest and an injury to one leg. He's still in a wheelchair.
The two officers were shot as they checked out a man behaving strangely on Congressional Drive. According to police, Magill quickly pulled out a pistol and shot both officers. Magill was hit when the officers returned fire. Other officers caught up with him down the road when he crashed a stolen police Tahoe into a utility pole.
Sr. Officers Amador Gonzalez and Michael Scott Goodman spent a couple of days in the hospital.
Magill faces two counts of attempted capital murder on a peace officer and auto theft.
