CORPUS CHRISTI -- A man reportedly pistol whipped a woman tonight after chasing her down in his car.
Police say the attacker hit the 31-year-old woman in the head with his gun and left it behind at the scene of the crime.
Officers say the two know each other and when the man saw the woman's car at Ayers and Gollihar, he followed her and ran her SUV into a resident's fence on Rosalie.
Police say the two got out of their vehicles and started arguing, then the man pulled out the gun and pistol whipped the woman before speeding away.
She went to the hospital for minor injuries.
Officers identified the man, but haven't caught him yet.
Once arrested, he'll be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
