Police Say Drunk Driver Flipped SUV On The Island

CORPUS CHRISTI -- Police shut down both sides of SPID near Whitecap, on The Island, after an SUV flipped over.

It happened just after 9:00 p.m.

According to police scanner reports, the man driving hit a palm tree and flipped his SUV a couple of times.

Officers say the man received some injuries and they think he could be drunk.
