ROBSTOWN - Authorities are investigation a crash that killed a motorcyclist just before midnight on Highway 44 heading into Robstown.
According to police, the rider swerved into oncoming traffic and hit and SUV head-on.
42-year-old Joey Matthew Breland of Sandia was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police do not know whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The driver of the SUV was physically okay, but very distraught after the crash. Police say she will not be ticketed for the crash as she was not at fault.
Police say Breland was heading home from his job at Christus Spohn Hospital at the time of the crash.
