Police: Man Crashes Car, Leaves Pregnant Wife Behind

CORPUS CHRISTI - A man was arrested this morning after he ran from a four vehicle crash, leaving his pregnant, injured wife behind, according to police.

Police say Isaac Munoz ran a red light at Peoples Street and Water, hitting one vehicle that pushed into two others.

Munoz jumped out and ran from the crash scene, but was caught by witnesses, and held for police just a block away.

His 21-year-old wife was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, along with a 45-year-old woman, from one of the other vehicles.

Police say Munoz was not intoxicated. He was arrested for failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and running the red light.
