CORPUS CHRISTI - A kidnapping suspect ran from police when he showed up outside a bank with his alleged victim this afternoon.
Police say the woman was carjacked and kidnapped from the Burger King drive-thru in Flour Bluff. The gunman told her to scoot over in the driver's seat so he could take off with her and the car.
It's not clear how long they were gone before he drove her back to the Wells Fargo, right next to the Burger King, and told her to go get him some cash.
Police showed up at that point and blocked the car in. After unsuccessful attempts to push police cars out of the way, the suspect took off on foot.
He refused police commands to stop, so an officer used a taser to get him under control.
43-year-old Craig Davis is charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, criminal mischief and evading arrest.
There's no word on whether the victim in the case was injured.
