Police Investigate Murder-Suicide in Military Dr. Fatal Fire

FLOUR BLUFF - We have some new information about that fatal house fire in Flour Bluff on Thursday morning. Police have just released the Medical Examiner's initial report on the victims and says evidence is pointing toward a case of murder-suicide.
As we told you Thursday, neighbors tell us a man named Charles Delong III and a woman named Cheryl Harvill lived at the home on Military Drive, but police have not released the victim's names yet.
The Medical Examiner told police that the female victim was shot in the head once before the fire started. The wound does not appear to be self-inflicted.
Police say the male victim was still alive when the fire started at the home. Peter Salazar, an investigator with the Corpus Christi Fire Department, says they are fairly certain the male victim is the one who started the blaze.
Salazar also told me that they have pretty much run out of people to speak with regarding the investigation, but the medical examiner's final results will most likely be released sometime next week.
