A valuable lesson learned this morning about leaving your keys in the car.
A man called police early this morning to report his jeep had been stolen from the driveway of his residence.
Later in the morning, officers were conducting speed enforcement on McArdle when they spotted a jeep speeding and attempted to pull it over, but the driver didn't stop.
The suspect led officers on a brief chase until he bailed out of the jeep and ran inside La Palmera mall.
With officers in pursuit, a Salvation Army bell ringer was able to lead police to the suspect, who was inside the food court.
The suspect was arrested without incident and the jeep was not damaged.
