Petition Drive to Free Ramsey Muniz

Petition to Free Ramsey Muniz

CORPUS CHRISTI - A petition has been created to help free a former Corpus Christi politician from prison.

The National League of Latin American Citizens is working with the family of Ramsey Muniz to collect 25,000 signatures on a petition asking the White House to review his conviction.

In the 1970s, Muniz who is a former Corpus Christi resident ran for Governor of Texas.

Muniz is currently serving a life sentence following two federal drug convictions.

The group has until March 4th to collect the signatures for the petition.
