CORPUS CHRISTI - Members of the law enforcement community are reaching out to the public seeking donations to assist in the burial of their good friend Pete Peralta.
The longtime Chief Deputy for the Nueces County Sheriff's Office passed away last week due to heart failure. He just retired from public service last month.
The 54-year-old first started working for the sheriff's office in 1981.
If you would like to help out, donations can be made to the Pete Peralta Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank branch, account# 8966853361.
