Pedestrian Crossing the Street Hit by Pickup

Woman Hit While Crossing Carancahua - KZTV

CORPUS CHRISTI - A woman crossing Carancahua Street Friday afternoon was hit by a woman driving a pickup. The accident happened just after 1 p.m. in front of the AT&T building.

Police say the driver of the truck was turning left on to Carancahua Street from Comanche Street when she hit the woman who was three quarters of the way across the crosswalk.

The woman was taken to Spohn Shoreline Hospital with minor injuries.

The pickup driver was given a ticket for failing to yield to the right of way.
