Parent Academy Participants Graduate From Del Mar

CORPUS CHRISTI -- The first graduates of the new Parent Academy at Del Mar received their certificates of completion today.

This graduation was a bit different than most.

Instead of parents just watching their children graduate and receive diplomas, they also got to be the center of attention.

Parents and their kids -- who go to Martin Middle School -- spent six weeks learning how they can finish their education and move on to college.

20 parents and 12 students participated in the program.
