CORPUS CHRISTI - There are 25 or so boxes sitting in front of a home on the city's southside. Most of them delivered by UPS, according to the stickers on them.
And you can tell they weren't just delivered today or yesterday. Ron Pickett lives nearby and told us, "it's been that way for at least a year with boxes in front. Stacked up in front of the house? We joke about it all the time."
Pickett also called police. CCPD Officer A. Flores was at the house when we got there around noon today. We both went and knocked on neighbors' doors to get information on the boxes and the person they're addressed to.
Anna Ashley says there's usually activity at the house, but she hasn't seen anybody except for UPS at the house for a few days now. "UPS comes in almost everyday and they're usually from QVC or the Home Shopping Network."
We knocked on the door just to see for ourselves if anyone was home. No one answered.
The postman told us the person who lives at the house, picks up their mail, but he rarely sees them. "She's never there. I go knock on the door, but she's never there," he said.
Police Captain Mike Alanis says all information will be shared with officers working this particular area, and they will try to contact the homeowner as soon as possible.
We also contacted UPS, but they haven't told us what they plan to do.
