CORPUS CHRISTI- Texas A&M UNiversity-Corpus Christi has put the call out for volunteers to help with an oyster reef restoration Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 at Goose Island State Park.
The event will be hosted by the Department of Life Sciences and the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Volunteers should be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get wet and dirty, a hat, and sunscreen.
Work gloves and shovels will be provided.

*Volunteers will scoop recycled oyster shells into mesh bags, carry the filled bags down to the water and place the shells in the water at the restoration site.
