Over 80 Teams Compete for Ultimate BBQ Rights

ROBSTOWN - Over 80 BBQ teams competed Saturday for ultimate bragging rights and some prizes in Robstown earlier today.

The teams competed in a variety of catagories, including pork, brisket, ribs, and chicken.

This was part of the kickoff weekend at the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show at the Borchard Regional Fairgrounds.

The teams came from all over the state, some were seasoned veterans, some brought their families, but for all most of them, it means family..""we just get together, as friends and bring the kids and let them run around and act all crazy and have a good time. that's what's it all about, and its good for the livestock show, and for the community. works out good for everybody", Robert Arnold from Orange Grove said.

The weeklong livestock show and rodeo wraps up next Sunday.
