CORPUS CHRISTI - A 45-year-old Corpus Christi resident should consider himself lucky he was allowed to walk away from the Municipal Court after paying for an outstanding warrant with counterfeit cash.
The clerk noticed the $50 bills he handed over were not real. Following an interview by police, the man was released because investigators determined he was not aware the money was counterfeit.
