Outlet Mall Plans for Robstown Delayed Another Year

ROBSTOWN - There's another delay in plans to build an The Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay. KRIS 6 News has confirmed that project has been pushed back until 2015, rather than this summer as announced last year.

Developer Dolphin Ventures has blamed the downturn in the US economy for delays since first announcing the project in 2007.

In November 2012, the project picked up steam again when Nueces County Commissioners approved of 50 acres of land near the fairgrounds for the project. A groundbreaking ceremony was held last July.

But that's about as far as the project has gone. Caroline Flores will have more tonight on KRIS 6 News at 5 & 6 p.m.
