CORPUS CHRISTI - One man is dead and another is in serious condition after a shooting last night in the Four Winds Apartment complex. Around 8:30 p.m., police were called out to 4101 Brett for a report of shots fired.

Officers quickly found a gun and a trial of blood at the complex. Witnesses told them men fled the area in two vehicles right after the shooting. A short time later police learned two men had been taken to Spohn South and Spohn Memorial hospital with gunshot wounds.

The 24-year-old man who was taken to Spohn South died from his injuries. The 20-year-old taken to Memorial was shot in the head and is in serious condition.

So far, police have not confirmed what sparked the shooting or a description of a possible suspect.

They're asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-TIPS, or submit a tip online at www.888tips.com.
