One Dead in Highway 44 Crash in Alice

ALICE - At least one person died in crash on Highway 44 near Beam Station in Alice this afternoon. Firefighters are still working to remove the body of the victim from an SUV involved in a crash with a Ford pickup.
A photo provided by the Alice Echo-News Journal shows the pickup upside-down next to the mangled SUV.
The newspaper reports witnesses told them two men in the truck and a woman from the SUV were taken to the hospital.
