CORPUS CHRISTI - The baby boy who died in a hot truck last week has been identified as one year old Noah Tamez.
On Friday, a group of roofers on Bonner Drive asked a man to move his truck so they could start a project.
A roofer tells us the man opened up the truck door, immediately noticed the boy was still inside and started crying. It turns out the man was the child's uncle.
Paramedics rushed the child to the hospital, but he did not survive. Police believe the boy was in the truck for about 5 hours in the South Texas heat.
Child Protective Services and the Corpus Christi Police Department are still looking into the child's death. An official cause of death is not listed as the medical examiner awaits the results of toxicology tests.
