Officers Trying to Find Clues in Sunday Morning's Fatal Accident

CORPUS CHRISTI - Traffic Investigators with the Corpus Christi Police Department are recreating the accident that killed one man over the weekend.

Investigators are on the 5700 block of Leopard trying to determine what caused an accident that killed 33-year old James Garza. Garza was a passenger in an SUV that was speeding on Leopard near North Padre Island Drive Sunday morning. Police say the driver of the S.U.V. went off the road and rolled over into a ditch.

Garza died in the accident. The driver is in the hospital recovering from serious injuries.

Officers at the scene say the driver appeared to be drunk.
