Officer Under Investigation for Incident at Wrecker Service

CORPUS CHRISTI - A police officer is under investigation accused of making a terroristic threat at a local wrecker company last night.

The Corpus Christi police officer's name is not being released, but investigators say the officer went with a friend to Lone Star Wrecker on Up River Road.

They were trying to pick up the friend's car after it was towed around 2:30 a.m.

Employees there tell us the officer began yelling at the wrecker driver while pointing out that he was a police officer. He allegedly threatened to use his authority against the driver in some form.

The officer remains on duty, but faces both a criminal investigation and a separate internal affairs investigation.
