NEW YORK - A man who apparently had been kicked out of a band fatally shot three of his bandmates and wounded a fourth early Monday in a Brooklyn row house before killing himself, police said.
It was not immediately clear why the man opened fire at the three-story building in the East Williamsburg Industrial Park, an area of mostly warehouses and a few homes.
Police say the shooter had been kicked out of the band, but they were not sure if that motivated the shooting.
All the dead were believed to be Iranian nationals living in the United States.
The victims were found on the second and third floors of the building. The shooter was discovered on the roof.
Another bandmate was wounded on the arm and been hospitalized in stable condition.
Police said officers did not fire their weapons, and that reports of sniper fire on them were incorrect.
