CORPUS CHRISTI- The Nurse Family Partnership is a nurse led, evidence- based home visitation program.
The program targets low-income young women by helping them to engage in good preventative health practices, including obtaining thorough prenatal care from their health care providers, improving their diet, and reducing use of cigarettes, alcohol, and illegal substances.
Clients are followed up through case management by a Registered Nurse from as early as their first trimester until the baby is 2 years old.
For more information about the program, call 826-7034.
