ROBSTOWN - Customers of the Nueces County Water Control and Improvement District #3 will enter stage three water restrictions tomorrow.
The change comes as Corpus Christi total water reservoir level dips below 35 percent capacity.
Customer will only be allowed to water lawns once a month, and as always only between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m.
You can only wash a car with a handheld hose, including an automatic shut off valve, or just use a sponge and a 5 gallon bucket of water. Using a hose to wash off a sidewalk or building is also prohibited.
Residents are advised to fix all plumbing leaks immediately. Restaurants shall only serve water upon request.
Violators of the above guidelines face stiff penalties as the district aims to cut water usage by twenty percent.
The City of Corpus Christi's Drought Contingency Plan calls for Stage 3 Restrictions to take effect if combined lake levels fall below 30% of capacity.
