For the past couple of days, people have been wearing these little blue badges that read "24 Hours of Silence". These badges signify that that person is to not speak throughout the whole entire day. This assignment was given by Ray's very own Speech teacher, Ms. Slivka. The key to this assignment is to teach students about nonverbal communication. However, not all students follow the criteria. Obviously, students chatter away when they go home, only to try and stay mute when they come here to school. Students also try to talk secretly to one another without getting caught. Students get their teachers to sign a sheet, stating that they have been quiet for the whole period. Even if you're not in a speech class, come along and try it, and see how well you succeed.
