Not Guilty Plea for Shooting of Two Police Officers

CORPUS CHRISTI - A trial date has been scheduled for a man accused of shooting two Corpus Christi police officers.

Travis Magill, age 22, entered a plea of not guilty on two counts of attempted capital murder and will be back for trial on September 29th.

He's remained in the Nueces County Jail since he was treated for a gunshot to the stomach back in March.

Police say he wounded two officers who were checking on a suspicious person in the country club neighborhood. Magill was found a short time later behind the wheel of a crashed police cruiser.
