CORPUS CHRISTI - One man is lucky to have escaped serious injury after a hit and run driver clipped his truck overnight. He was driving on southbound Interstate 37 near the Harbor Bridge around 1 a.m. when a fullsize truck hit the back of his vehicle.

The impact caused the victim's truck to hit and median before heading back into traffic. Despite the significant damage to the truck the driver was not seriously injured.

Traffic from Highway 181 onto Interstate 37 had to be shut down for about an hour and a half. If the driver of the other truck is found, they will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
