No Arrest for Hit and Run on Bicyclist

CORPUS CHRISTI - Police still have not been able to track down a woman they say deliberately ran over a man while he was riding his bike yesterday afternoon.

Investigators say the victim had just gotten into an argument with his girlfriend when he and a friend left on their bicycles.

They were riding down Trenton Drive when the suspect drove down the street. According to a friend, the woman called out the victim's name then sped toward him and hit him.

"He fell real hard, I guess where he rolled off. He had his back all scratched up. Bumps on his head, his leg was hurting he didn't know if he broke his leg because he couldn't move it. He was just screaming of pain," the witness told us.

The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. He was able to tell officers what kind of car hit him and they tracked it to a house just a few blocks away.

The driver wasn't home, but police impounded the car.
