(WNYT) Brian Holloway is a former NFL star whose vacant home in Rensselaer County was broken into over the Labor Day weekend. Three hundred kids using the place for a big party that went viral over the internet.
Holloway flew in from his home in Florida on Tuesday for a first-hand assessment of the damage done to his local home. Believe it or not, this former pro-football lineman says that he is getting threats.
Holloway, who stands 6 ft. 8 in. and weighs 370 lbs., says the threats are because he turned the tables on the kids who trashed his home.
The kids posted pictures of themselves on the internet doing it, so Holloway posted about 90 names that he's been able to determine. Some parents were upset.
"Yeah, I got some threats, you know, 'we're gonna get you, and we know where your home is,' and you know 'houses do get firebombed," he says.
Holloway, who played eight seasons as a lineman in the NFL, claims the damage will amount to more than $20,000.
Over the Labor Day weekend, college and high school students from all over the region started posting about the upcoming blowout at Holloway's vacant home.
