CORPUS CHRISTI - A traffic signal is now in place, but not yet operation, for the intersection of Yorktown Boulevard and Weber Road in Corpus Christi.
A crew with the Texas Department of Transportation installed the lights this morning. Federal funds paid for the light put in place to help prevent accidents.
At that intersection, increasing numbers of drivers are taking a left turn to get to newer southside neighborhoods while trying to avoid collisions with drivers coming into town that are typically driving at least 50 miles an hour.
