CORPUS CHRISTI - A Popeye's chicken restaurant made a large donation to help tornado victims in Oklahoma.
Representatives from the American Red Cross were on hand at the new Popeyes on Saratoga to receive a check for $1,000 for disaster relief.
Red Cross officials stress that it shouldn't take a disaster to get people involved with helping others. Donations are accepted all year.
With hurricane season coming soon, they'll be out assisting people when the need arises.
