New Assistant City Manager Appointed

CORPUS CHRISTI - Susan K. Thorpe of Peoria, Arizona is the new Assistant City Manager for Safety, Health and Neighborhoods for Corpus Christi.

She takes over for Troy Riggs who left Corpus Christi to become the Director of Public Safety in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2012.

Thorpe has more than 25 years of municipal management experience.

For the past 7 years she has worked for the City of Peoria, Arizona.

Thorpe's first day on the job will be Monday, March 18, 2013.
